Advanced IVF Treatment India Tubal Embryo Transfer (TET) Peritoneal Oocyte and Sperm Transfer (PROST) Blastocyst Culture Cryopreservation Ovarian Drilling GIFT ZIFT Therapeutic insemination with donor sperm
Tubal Embryo Transfer (TET) : -- TET involves taking eggs from the woman, fertilizing them in the laboratory with her partner's sperm and transferring the resulting embryos back to her fallopian tubes 2 days after fertilization (at the 2-cell to 4-cell stage). ZIFT involves taking eggs from the woman, fertilizing them in the laboratory with her partner's sperm and transferring the resulting embryos back to her fallopian tubes the day after fertilization (at the one-cell or zygote stage).
Peritoneal Oocyte and Sperm Transfer (PROST) : -- A somewhat newer procedure known as peritoneal oocyte and sperm transfer (PROST) is also very similar to ZIFT. However, in PROST, eggs that are fertilized by sperm in a laboratory dish are placed into the fallopian tube before cell division occurs.
Blastocyst Culture :-- An embryo that has developed for five to seven days after fertilization and has developed 2 distinct cell types and a central cavity filled with fluid (blastocoel cavity). The cleavage stage (prior to day 4) human embryo undergoes compaction and develops to the compacting morula stage by about day 4. Usually by 24 hours after compacting into the morula, the embryo begins to develop a fluid filled cavity. The embryo then fits the definition of an early blastocyst.
Cryopreservation :-- Cryopreservation is a process where cells or whole tissues are preserved by cooling to low sub-zero temperatures, such as (typically) 77 K or -196 °C (the boiling point of liquid nitrogen). At these low temperatures, any biological activity, including the biochemical reactions that would lead to cell death, is effectively stopped. However, when vitrification solutions are not used, the cells being preserved are often damaged due to freezing during the approach to low temperatures or warming to room temperature.
Ovarian Drilling : -- Ovarian drilling, done during laparoscopy, is a procedure in which a laser fibre or electrosurgical needle punctures the ovary 4 to 10 times. This treatment results in a dramatic lowering of male hormones within days and is often performed in women who have polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS). Studies have shown that up to 80 percent of patients will benefit from such treatment. Many women who fail to ovulate with clomiphene or Metformin therapy will respond when these medications are reintroduced to the system after ovarian drilling. Side effects are rare, but may result in adhesion formation or ovarian failure if there are complications during the procedure...
GIFT : -- GIFT is an assisted reproductive technology procedure in which the eggs are removed, combined with the sperm and then placed inside of the fallopian tubes for fertilisation. This infertility treatment procedure differs from IVF, because in IVF, fertilisation occurs in the lab as opposed to in the fallopian tubes...
ZIFT : -- Considered the most invasive of all fertility treatments, zygote intrafallopian transfer (ZIFT) is the choice of less than one percent of people who turn to assisted reproductive technology (ART). Still, the method can work well for some couples — about 240 ZIFT babies are born each year in the United States....
Therapeutic insemination with donor sperm : -- This treatment is offered to single women, or to couples where there is a serious sperm problem, or no sperm at all in the ejaculate. Some couples prefer to use donor sperm in order to achieve a pregnancy, rather than have invasive procedures to collect sperm from men, for example after a previous vasectomy. The female partner is assessed initially, to make sure that the fallopian tubes are open and that she is ovulating regularly. Often, insemination procedures are performed with no extra drug stimulation....
