While on your Travel Nursing journey your Recruiter should be there for you every step of the way. A strong and long lasting relationship with your Recruiter can make your experience away from home much easier and rewarding.

Cirrus’s professional recruiters have shared some advice on how to build a stronger relationship with your Recruiter and also your Travel Nurse Company:

J.K. says “Be personable, share your experiences with your Recruiter by not just asking questions but letting them in on you a little.  The more a recruiter knows about you, the better they can find Travel Nursing Jobs that fit you best.”

A.P.  “Be honest.  Your Recruiter will tell you everything about job openings, the industry and the company they represent, so you should tell them everything about you, what you’re looking for, and your experiences.  The truth will always come out in the end but being upfront in the beginning saves you a lot of time and gets you to that assignment faster.”

M.F. “Find common ground whether it’s about your kids, past experiences, vacations, etc.  It doesn’t always have to be all about business.”

A.B. says “I always find a good conversation starter is asking where someone is from or has lived.  I’ve either lived in that area myself, visited there, or know someone who has and it’s a great way to find something in common to talk about.”

We at Cirrus hope that this advice will help you create a stronger bond with your current Recruiter and any Recruiters in the future. Don’t forget; the main keys are to be honest, upfront, personable, and give your input!
